Jeff Dooley | He/Him
-
I have a BFA and a degree in advertising design. Early in life, I practiced fine art with an emphasis on drawing and multimedia. I've built my career in marketing and branding as a creative director/graphic designer and have been at that for about 35 years. Recently, I've turned my attention back to non-commercial visual art and am curious to see where the practice leads me next.

Akiko Oncken | She/Her/Them
-
Akiko Oncken is a contemporary painter and photographer based in Sisters, Oregon, creating work in the space between observation and emotion—where still life becomes a practice of attention, landscapes become feeling, and abstraction gives form to what can’t be named. Ranging from intimate figuration and nature morte to bold, gestural abstraction that nods to Abstract Expressionism, she uses painting, mixed media, and photography to explore different ways of seeing and sensing. Her intuitive, layered process moves fluidly between watercolor, acrylic, gouache, charcoal, pastel, and collage—guided less by prescribed methods than by the energy of each piece. Rooted in light, pattern, expressive mark-making, and color as emotional language, her work invites sustained looking and offers something new to discover each time you return.

Hayley Purvis | She/Her
-
Hayley Purvis is an Illustrator and artist with a BA in Visual Storytelling & Design and an AA in Visual Arts. She later earned a certificate in 2D Character Animation from Gobelins L'Ecole de L’Image and began her career as a freelance illustrator, collaborating with a range of clients. For the past five years, she has worked professionally in animation and graphic design and is the founder of Quiet Perch Creative, an illustration and graphic design agency. Observation plays a key role in her creative process. She is drawn to seemingly ordinary settings where characters or subjects encounter subtle traces of magic. Her work blends storytelling and illustration to uncover wonder within the everyday, inviting viewers to pause, look closer, and rediscover a sense of play and possibility. As she develops a more personal body of work, Purvis continues to explore new mediums and visual languages that best give shape to her stories.

Abigail Cannon | She/Her
-
Abigail Cannon (she/her) is an emerging poet that lives in Oregon and adventures worldwide with her husband and two children. She has traversed the Three Sisters Wilderness on skis, sailed beneath glaciers in the Arctic Ocean, bent to catch her breath in the Himalayas, and through hiked 700 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail. Abigail has a bachelors in Conservation and Resource Studies from The University of California Berkeley and a Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine from American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She spent ten years in private practice in acupuncture, three years assisting women in childbirth, and 1 year writing a fiction manuscript, which taught her to love poetry again. Abigail writes to make sense of the meaningful and meaningless moments of the day and of a lifetime. When not writing she can be found in the woods or on the beach, walking until the words come to her.
