Join the Open Arts Center Board of Directors

At the Open Arts Center, we believe creativity brings people together, opens doors, and helps build a stronger community. We're looking for thoughtful, enthusiastic people who share our belief in the power of art and want to help guide our organization's future.

You don't need to be an artist or have previous board experience. We welcome people with different backgrounds, perspectives, skills, and life experiences. What matters most is your commitment to our mission and your willingness to contribute.

Interested? We'd love to get to know you. This short form takes about five minutes — simply a starting point for a conversation about whether board service might be a good fit for you and for OAC.

Board participation

Board members help guide OAC's mission, support its long-term sustainability, and serve as ambassadors in the community.

Our board currently meets on the first Wednesday of each month, 5–7 p.m. Board service generally involves approximately 5–15 hours per month, including meetings, responding to emails, engaging in fundraising efforts, and attending occasional events.

Board members also help strengthen OAC through community connections, advocacy, and fundraising. We encourage every board member to make an annual financial contribution that is personally meaningful and within their means.

Anything else?
