November & December: Ancestral Connections | A Community Día de Muertos Exhibition

  • Exhibition Dates: November 6th, 2026 - December 18th, 2026 

  • Artwork Submission Deadline: Monday, September 14th, 2026

Inspired by the traditions and spirit of Día de Muertos, this exhibition explores the enduring connections between past and present. Through visual art and writing, artists are invited to reflect on the people, histories, cultures, and memories that continue to shape who we are.

While rooted in Día de Muertos, this exhibition is open to everyone. We welcome artwork and writing that explores remembrance, ancestry, family history, cultural traditions, lineage, chosen family, and the many ways we honor those who have shaped our lives.

Our hope is to create a space where people from across Central Oregon can come together to celebrate, learn, remember, and build connection through art and storytelling.

Inspirada en las tradiciones y el espíritu del Día de Muertos, esta exposición explora los vínculos duraderos entre el pasado y el presente. A través de las artes visuales y la escritura, se invita a los artistas a reflexionar sobre las personas, las historias, las culturas y los recuerdos que siguen dando forma a quienes somos.

Aunque esté enraizada en el Día de Muertos, esta exposición está abierta a todo el mundo. Damos la bienvenida a obras de arte y escritos que exploren el recuerdo, la ancestralidad, la historia familiar, las tradiciones culturales, el linaje, la familia elegida y las múltiples formas en que honramos a quienes han marcado nuestras vidas.

Nuestra esperanza es crear un espacio donde personas de toda la región central de Oregón puedan reunirse para celebrar, aprender, recordar y establecer vínculos a través del arte y la narración de historias.
