Ways You Can Get Involved

We match your skills and schedule with meaningful roles across the Open Arts Center:

Supporting Youth & Teens

• Teen Mentors: Be a welcoming, encouraging presence during Teen Open Art Hours (Mon, Wed, Fri 3–7 PM / Summer M–F 12–5 PM).
  Help create a safe, vibrant space for young, emerging artists to express themselves.

• Teen Class & Workshop Instructors: Share your artistic passion! Lead hands-on workshops in painting, collage, digital media, or whatever medium you love.

Adult Programs & Creative Workshops

• Adult Class Instructors: Facilitate beginner-friendly or advanced creative workshops for our adult community members.

• Workshop Assistants: Help prepare materials, welcome participants, and ensure classes run seamlessly.

Center Operations & Community Support

• Operations Support (Teen or Adult Centers): Help greet visitors, manage supplies, assist with gallery setups, and keep our spaces vibrant and organized.

• Event & Gallery Crew: Assist during special gallery openings, First Friday Art Walks, and seasonal events.

What to Expect as a Volunteer

• Flexible Commitments: Whether you can give 2 hours a month or 4 hours a week, we work with your schedule.
